摘要
Abstract
虚拟地球是一个以地球世界为原型的分布式共享3D虚拟空间平台。虚拟地球是以现实地球的地理环境和城市原型为基础,在现实地图地形地貌的基础上,自由的构建虚拟的人文空间,去中心化的虚拟社区。在这个平台上,用户可以浏览和参与活动,并与其他人和实体互动。用户还可以通过基于区块链的DreamWorld账本宣称对虚拟区域的所有权。
DreamWorld is a distributed shared three-dimensional virtual spaces platform taking the real world on the earth as the prototype. DreamWorld is a virtual free humanity space and a decentralized virtual community space that is created based on the geographical environment and urban prototypes as well as the topography and landforms of the real earth. Users can browse and participate in activities and interact with other users and entities on this platform. Users can also claim the ownership of a virtual area through a blockchain-based DreamWorld account book.
形式由城市区域来划定,其所有者可以决定领地上发布的内容,包括从静态 3D 场景到游戏等互动式系统。领地是存储在公链智能合同中的不可替代的、可转移的稀有数字资产,可用名为DDC数字货币购买。DDC还可以用来购买虚拟世界中的数字商品和服务。
It is divided based on the urban region. Its owner can decide the contents issued within the territory, including the contents from static three-dimensional scenarios to interactive systems, such as games. Territories are the irreplaceable and transferrable rare digital assets stored in the public blockchain intelligent contract and can be purchased with DDC tokens. DDC tokens can also be used to purchase digital commodities and services in the virtual world.

People have been spending more and more time on either entertainment or work in the virtual world, but these activities are mainly performed on two-dimensional interfaces, such as web pages and smartphones. However, in the virtual world created based on the virtual reality and augmented reality technology, an immersive element is added and the distance between different contents is shortened, so that different communities are gathered in a more real way.

Different from other virtual worlds and social network services, DreamWorld will not be controlled by the centralized organization. No individual agent has the authority either to change its software rules, real scenario contents and tokens or to stop others from entering this virtual world. 1.1 什么是VR
What is VR?
VR—Virtual Reality,即虚拟现实,通用的定义是指利用计算机模拟产生一个三维空间的虚拟世界,提供使用者关于视觉、听觉、触觉等感官的模拟,让使用者如身临其境一般,可以及时、没有限制的观察三度空间内的事物,并与之交互。
Virtual Reality (VR) generally means that computer simulation is used to create a three-dimensional virtual world, in which users’ vision, hearing and touch, etc. are simulated to allow the users to observe and interact with the objects in a three-dimensional space in a real time and unlimited manner as if users are personally on the scene.
虚拟现实技术是虚拟场景系统、知觉管理系统和用户之间的多重信号传导,使用户融入虚拟场景。计算机完成虚拟场景的设计、制作,VR设备实现用户的知觉反馈,这是虚拟现实的内容输入;用户接收知觉信号并通过捕捉设备将用户知觉输入计算机,完成场景响应,这是用户的信号输出;知觉管理系统将信号在虚拟场景系统和用户之间不断传导,形成完整的信号闭环。
Virtual reality technology is the multi-signal transduction among virtual scenario system, perception management system and users, which enables the users to blend in with virtual scenarios. Computers design and produce the virtual scenarios and VR equipment feeds back the users' perception, which constitute the content input of virtual reality; users receive perception signals and use capture devices to input the user perception to computers for completing the response to scenarios, which indicate the signal output of users; perception management system transduces the signals between virtual scenario system and users to form a complete signal loop.

虚拟现实的发展:供给端,产品呈现依赖于技术的成熟,目前应用刚刚爆发起来;需求端,等待杀手级应用激活,大概率出现在游戏领域;未来更大市场规模的爆发,依赖于技术瓶颈的突破,行业标准的建立,困于多产业、多场景的复杂融合,VR将成持久战。
Development of virtual reality at the supply side: Product presence relies on the technology maturity and at present, the applications has just been in an explosive growth; development of virtual reality at the demand side: Killer applications are expected to be activated and they most probably appear in the game field. The future explosive growth in a larger market scale will rely on the breakthrough of technical bottlenecks and establishment of industry standards, but will be trapped in the complicated interfusion of multiple industries and multiple scenarios. Augmented reality (AR) technology is to calculate the position and angle of images from cameras in a real-time manner and add the corresponding images, videos and three-dimensional models. It aims at projecting the virtual world on the screen in real world and realizing interaction. This AR technology was first proposed in 1990. With the improvement of CPU computing capability of electronic products, AR is expected to have a more and more extensive application.

Many major technology companies in the world have been increasing investment in VR/AR research and development. For example, Google, Microsoft, Apple, SONY, HTC, Magic Leap and Alibaba have successively released the virtual reality technology and product plans and they all think that VR/AR market has a promising prospect. In 2007, Alibaba researched and developed Ali Genie AR open platform and "Ali Sharp Eye" app, which mainly provide mobile end AR SDK, mobile end AR plugin, content editor and multimedia material database and open its own algorithm capability and software engineering capability to promote more and more business-end users and developers to use AR technology and created more AR applications and contents. What is Blockchain?
区块链是分布式数据存储、点对点传输、共识机制、加密算法等计算机技术的新型应用模式。所谓共识机制是区块链系统中实现不同节点之间建立信任、获取权益的数学算法。
Blockchain is new-type application mode of such computer technologies as distributed data storage, point-to-point transmission, consensus mechanism and encryption algorithm. Consensus mechanism is a mathematical algorithm to establish trust between different nodes and obtain rights in the blockchain system.

Blockchain is an important concept for Bitcoin. Bitcoin has worked with Tsinghua E-Finance Lab of PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University and Sina Tech to issue 2014-2016 Global Bitcoin Development Research Report. In this report, it stated that blockchain is the underlying technology and infrastructure of Bitcoin. In essence, it is a decentralized database and the underlying technology of Bitcoin. Blockchain is a string of data blocks generated by use of encryption method. Each data block contains the information of a Bitcoin network transaction for verifying the effectiveness of information (for the purpose of anti-counterfeiting) and generating next block.

In the future, it is an inevitable trend to establish coordination and interconnecting between these numerous blockchain systems. Cross-chain technology is the key for blockchain to realize internet. Interconnecting of blockchain systems will become a more important topic. One the future value delivery network taking blockchain as basis will build trust base completely by using algorithm and software. However, this is far enough and standards are required to increase trust for blockchain. In the future, the blockchain standards will take users foremost and businesses oriented to normalize the technology and governance of blockchains from the aspects of smart contract, consensus mechanism, private key security, and authority management, so as to enhance the reliability and trustworthiness of blockchains.

At first, DreamWorld is a conceptual proof for ownership of digital estate assigned to users through blockchain. The digital estate is based originally on the pixels on world urban map, and each pixel includes metadata, indicating users’ ownership with specific colors. Point-to-point communication, script systems that support interaction and rapid payment system for encrypted currency in transactions of virtual world are executed here. The communication layer is important for the scene experience for it can provide positioning, posturing and voice chat services. All these are realized by DreamWorld through P2P network. The script system is the tool for land owners to describe the 3D articles, voices and actions on the land and the tool for conducting interactions. Registration and transaction system for digital assets are established in DreamWorld. Any user can freely register their created goods and services as a kind of new digital asset on blockchain in accordance with the rules agreed. The asset is disclosed and agreed throughout the network, that is, it cannot be tampered or destroyed and thus will form an inherent and smart digital asset. As the measurement standards and carrier of all digital assets, it enables any two users on the Internet to carry out low-cost and instant payment globally. 在区块链的各个社区中对共识机制的讨论也非常多,从POW(工作量证明)到POS(股权证明)到DPOS(委托权益证明)到Ripple(瑞波共识),再到HyperLedger的PBFT(实用拜占庭将军容错共识)。在本质上,共识机制要解决的问题就是如何在一个分布式系统中各个节点通过一些算法和协议,达到数据的一致性。其实早在区块链技术出现之前,关于分布式系统的一致性问题已经有很多的研究成果,例如早期人们会根据FLP定理和CAP定理来设计共识算法。在计算机理论界,普遍认为在分布式场景下要达成完全一致性是不可能的,但是工程师们往往会牺牲一些代价来换取合理范围内的一致性,而基于区块链的各种共识机制也都可以看做是工程师们通过一些灵活的变换,以牺牲时间或空间或部分的公平性为代价来换取某些应用场景下的一致性。基于此,在虚拟地球项目中,我们的虚拟数字资产也对应于各种上层的应用场景,于是我们的共识机制也就被设计成一种模块化的结构,可插拔式的根据具体上层应用场景去匹配对应的各种主流共识机制。
There are also a lot of discussions about the consensus mechanisms for communities on the blockchain, from POW (proof-of-work) to POS (proof-of-stake), DPOS (delegated proof of stake) and Ripple (Ripple consensus), and then to PBFT (Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance consensus). In essence, the problem that the consensus mechanism needs to solve is how to achieve data consistency through carrying out algorithms and protocols in a distributed system. In fact, there were a lot of research results on the consistency of distributed systems long before the blockchain technology. For example, in earlier days, people will design consensus algorithms based on FLP theorem and CAP theorem. In the field of computer theory, it is generally believed that it is impossible to achieve complete consistency in distributed scenes, but engineers tend to sacrifice some in exchange for a reasonable range of consistency. The various consensus mechanisms based on blockchain can also be seen as the process that engineers exchange for the consistency in certain application scenes at the expense of time, space or certain fairness by adding some flexibility. Based on this, in the DreamWorld project, our virtual digital assets also correspond to various application scenes at upper layer. Therefore, our consensus mechanism is also designed as a modular structure, which is able to match corresponding mainstream consensus mechanism according to specific application scenes at upper layer in a pluggable manner.

Inspired by the concept of Smart Contract, in our DreamWorld, the role of the smart contracts is to build a bridge between the real world and the DreamWorld. By introducing off-chain rules, writing rules for contracts on the blockchain and inputting off-chain data, we’re able to trigger execution of contracts; and through off-chain arbitration, we’re able to deal with the contracts. With help of open smart contracts of DreamWorld, the third party developers or users are allowed to apply standard DAPP process to write smart contract codes based on DreamWorld and release apps. Therefore, in the DreamWorld, users are free to release the physical assets that exist in the real world or the virtual digital assets through our app interface, and meanwhile, users are allowed to choose all kinds of digital assets of the DreamWorld. Unlike smart contracts of Ethereum or other blockchain technologies, the smart contracts in DreamWorld are referenced to the natural real world, based on AR/VR technology and provided with elaborate design. As a result, the digital assets of the smart contracts have rich geographical features. This kind of digital assets with geographical information will naturally reflect the movement track for changes of locations during transfer, which belongs to important information for precision marketing, social applications or other fields.

We have introduced three types of digital assets: territory (allocable but irreplaceable in this virtual world), DDC tokens (to acquire territories and buy goods and services) and digital assets which can be freely defined. The practicability of the territory is based on the environmental differences created by its geographical coordinates. For their needs for territories, the actual geo-location developers, virtual developers, and other content creators can establish their applications on the territories and reach the target audiences. While all undeclared territories may be purchased at the same conversion rate (1000DDC = 1 territory), there is a significant difference between the territories. The territories vary widely in the position of the real world because they have different coordinates from the actual ones anchored on the specific map, possibly causing their quite different prices in the secondary market. On the other hand, DDC will serve as a substitute for evaluating new territories. Additionally, DDC can be used to buy goods and services, creating a practical value of tokens. The freely defined digital assets give users the freedom to open up their space and create entirely new forms of assets. This is also very worthy of developers to create and think.

Assets registered with Asch main chain are freely transferable to any dapp, so DreamWorld systems are inherently capable of running multiple assets, that is, the DreamWorld system can directly support different assets or currencies, and users can use their own currency directly for transaction instead of unavoidably converting their currency into the native token DDC in the DreamWorld system. DDC tokens are mainly for payment of system commission charges and are equity tokens representing the decision-making power of the system.
